I am back from the Kahang field research trip. Did you guys miss me? Hah.
Monday
Had dance. Super fun. Forget what happen ler.
Bla bla bla.
After dance went o meet jia xuan and jia en.
The two of them, urgh. Cannot stand them. Super good actor and actress.
After that went to meet my younger cousin and we went pasir ris to meet blogshop owner and buy my elder cousin's birthday present. Then after that went sembawang to shop for camp stuffs.
Then went northpoint to meet up with mum, aunt, elder cousin, grandma then went Bottle Tree Park to celebrate.
Went home quite late. Pack stuff, bath and sleep.
Tuesday
Woke up super early and went to school. Left school at 8 am. Went over to CJC to fetch the 18 seniors and some teachers which includes the Korea Professor. There are also another 100+ of the CJC students who is going to KOREF(Kahang Organic Rice Eco Farm) for their adventure.
Then continued our journey to Kahang which is around 40km away from Kluang. The journey took only around 3 hours.
Oh, we stopped halfway for a break. And I bought hell lot of tidbits. And it haven't even include the ones in my bags. I am a junk kid. LOL.
Spent most of the journey, chatting, taking pictures, snacking and sleeping away.
Once we reached, we had a camp briefing and went for lunch. The canteen was surrounded by nets in order to keep insects out. But I guess the net's functions failed. And it doesn't keep cats away either. There were al spider webs under the chairs and table and above our heads.
Ate the organic brown rice. It was nice. But did not managed to finish up the food tough I had already ask for a small portion. I was still feeling super full after the snacks.
After lunch, went to pitch up our tents. Junqing, Hwee Shan, Cassandra, Margaret, Ivy, Jamie, Szu Min (I think, can't really remember) was the first to pitch up our tents, among all the 100+ people :D Cheers! But after pitching up our tents, there were many gust of strong wind and our tent's ba do not have any peg to pin the tent down. And we have to hold the tents down, bla bla bla.
After pitching up our tents, went into our group for group discussion. I am in the soil chemistry group. Our group is like only got 5 people. 2 from CJC, 3 from AI. Sherman, Nicole, Hwee Shan, Cassandra and me. Sherman is the group leader.
Sat and discussed about the chemicals, how to used it, read the previous batch of people's report, discussed where we want to collect sil from, etc.
After a while, it started raining lions and tigers. Ran in the rain with the mud splashing around to collect our barang barang which is left in the tents, out in the rain.
Lucky for me, I zip locked everything, except for toilet paper(!) and my sleeping bag.
We bought our barang barang into the bunks and settle down in it. Which means that for the next 3 days, we all will be sleeping in the concrete room instead of out in the fields.
And we will be using a toilet with heater and in a enclose area instead of using this(i grab the picture from one of the facebook profile):
This toilet is out in the open and bees, flies, bugs, ants are all around you. There is no privacy.
So, after settling down, had some briefing from teachers, went to bath and had dinner. Brown rice again.
After dinner, went over to the other girls' bunk and gossiped.
After that, walked back to canteen(which is quite far away from the bunks) for debrief. Shared our experiences with the insects swarming around and bla bla bla. Walked back to the bunk. Went over to the boys' to have discussion again.
After discussion, Hwee Sahn and Cassandra wanted to stay over to watch them play DOTA. Then they all talk in DOTA slang that I completely don't understand. And I got a feeling that I am surrounded by aliens.
Lights out supposed to be 11pm but me and heww shan only went back to our bunks around 11.30 and everyone was sleeping by then.
Me and hweeshan had a had time trying to fall asleep. And when we finally finally feel like sleeping, Shahira did something that made me and hwee shan laughed like mad. Shall not say what. People's privacy. Haha.

Woke up at 6am, first to bath (:
But we were the last to go canteen. Cause were waiting for everybody to go together. The teachers were unhappy, ask us to wash the plates for lunch and dinner.
After some briefing, the soil chem and soil phy group set out to collect soil samples all around the farm with the Korea Professor tagging along. She super funny and sweet. Haha.
Then after collecting all the samples, went back to our work station and test for the important chemicals inside the soil.
It was hard work. Shan't bore you people on the boring and tough details.
Test all the soils all the way up till evening, bath, dinnered, discussed with group members, de-brief, slack around, sleep.
thurs
Woke up, had breakfast.
Discussed and draw up a concunsion about our findings. After that, splitted up into other groups. This is then our big group. The big group need to answer the big question : Is Kahang eco-farm suitable to turn into a eco-village.
After separating into our bigger groups, we went for lunch.
After lunch, had water activities. Rafting and water obstacle course. I laughed like mad during rafting luh.
Long story of why is it that funny. But it is super funny.
HAHA.
Then clean up and discussed in our big group. Bla bla bla.
Then ate dinner.
Discussed again.
Then present to all the teachers, professor, etc our answer and how are we going to convert it into a eco farm, etc.
After that teacher choose two groups who will present infront of the 100+ students who came for the adventure camp.
Then after watching them present, had de-brief and went over to the boys bunk and played solitaire until 1+.
Afterwhich, light outs already.
So went back to the girls bunk with the laptop and played solitaire until 4+. Slept.
friday
woke up, ate breakfast.
pack up. clean up
took many pictures.
left kahang.
went to jusco
shopped like mad woman.
home
realised i lost my house keys.
so went to northpoint to shop with my two heavy backpacks, one in the front, one at the back. (brought 1 backpack there, and return with two -.-)
saw victor in northpoint, shop around in northpoint, went to eat, slack in library.
around 8 go home.
waited for mum at th doorsteps.
finally can go home. -.-

went for chingay rehearsal.
after that went to yilin to bugis to eat in hawker center. nice (:
